My name is Ravo, and I am in grade T2 at EPP Antongo.
This year, I discovered the Correct Book notebook for the very first time. It was something new for me and for all my classmates as well.
I really like this notebook because it comes with a special pen and you can erase everything you write. This helps me write faster and easily redo my exercises when I make mistakes, like additions and subtractions. I find it more enjoyable to work with.
I would really like to continue using it in T3, T4, and T5, so that I won’t need to use the slate anymore.
Federico Gilbert (School Principal)
My name is Federico Gilbert, and I am a teacher at EPP Antongo, where I have been working for many years.
Regarding the Correct Book, it brings a double advantage: both for teachers and for students. I would especially like to highlight the benefits for teachers. Since we started teaching, we had never used a Correct Book before. We noticed that with the usual methods, we spent a lot of money buying chalk because children were using slates. Using slates also made teachers’ tasks more difficult: some parents could not afford to buy chalk for their children, and we sometimes had to distribute chalk ourselves.
Since the introduction of Correct Books, our expenses have decreased. We no longer distribute chalk because students now use Correct Books.
For the students, compared to slates, the Correct Book is also more suitable. Slates break easily, especially because children can sometimes be rough, whereas Correct Books are more durable. They are kept by teachers and distributed only during the sessions when they are used, which helps keep them in good condition.
We sincerely thank the partners who provided us with these materials. However, we request additional support, as the number of Correct Books is not enough for the total number of students in our school. We also request that these materials be extended to grades 9e, 8e, and 7e, as they would be very useful for math exercises.

Previously, we used slates, but now they have been replaced by Correct Books. This is excellent material: the students are very happy to use them, and they help improve their handwriting.
However, the number of Correct Books is still insufficient. We therefore request additional support, because during the sessions when they are used, some students have one while others do not.

My name is Puissance, Education Officer. I have been able to observe the use of Correct Books in several classes, and I can say that it is a very useful tool that is well adapted to the local context.
The Correct Books bring real improvement to the learning process. They reduce expenses related to the purchase of chalk and slates, which often break and need to be replaced regularly.
I have also noticed that students are much more motivated when using the Correct Books. They write more, participate more, and teachers can correct their work more easily. The material is durable, easy to manage, and it truly facilitates teachers’ work.
However, despite these advantages, there are still challenges. The first one is the lack of quantity: the number of Correct Books is not enough to cover all students. This creates inequalities during the sessions, as some children can work with the Correct Book while others must wait or use slates.
My main recommendation is therefore to increase the supply so that every student can benefit. I also recommend extending the use of Correct Books to grades 9e, 8e, and 7e, as these levels have many math excercises that require practical and reusable learning materials.
